Why we built Knyt

Irish businesses have been underserved by business software. Global platforms like Xero and QuickBooks bolt on Irish compliance as an afterthought. Irish-specific tools like BrightPay and Thesaurus solve one piece — payroll — but leave you stitching together five different products from five different vendors.

Knyt takes a different approach. Every product is built from the ground up for Irish regulatory requirements. FRS 102 isn't a checkbox — it's how the chart of accounts is structured. PAYE/PRSI/USC calculations aren't adapted from UK rates — they're implemented directly from Revenue specifications.

And because every Knyt product runs on the same platform, they share one login, one dashboard, and one source of truth. No CSV exports between systems. No duplicate data entry. No reconciliation headaches.

Every product is built around Irish regulations — FRS 102, Companies Act 2014, Revenue PAYE/PRSI/USC, and GDPR. Not retrofitted, not adapted from a US product. Designed for Ireland from day one.

Security by default

PII is encrypted at rest with AES-256-GCM. Audit trails are tamper-proof with HMAC signatures. Multi-tenant data isolation is enforced at the database level. EU data residency on every product.

Edge-first architecture

Knyt runs on Cloudflare Workers and Kubernetes — sub-second response times from the nearest edge node. No cold starts, no single points of failure, no region lock-in.
